UNH women’s soccer set to open up on Sunday at BU
DURHAM — the University of New Hampshire women’s soccer team will kick off the 2025 season at Boston University on Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
The home-opener for the ‘Cats will be on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. against Stonehill on ESPN+.
UNH is 9-17-1 all-time versus the Terriers. The Wildcats defeated BU least year by a 1-0 score on Sept. 8 at Wildcat Stadium.
UNH tied for first in the 2025 America East Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference’s head coaches, while senior defender Maddie Kolb (Tolland, Conn.) and senior midfielder Abbi Maier (Cincinnati, Ohio) were selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team. Kolb was also named a Player to Watch by United Soccer Coaches.
The Wildcats, who went 12-5-1 in 2024, have posted a program record three straight winning seasons and have advanced to the America East title game three out of the last four years. The team’s 12 wins last year tied the school record. The ‘Cats will be looking to win their third America East tournament title having captured the championship in 2014 and 2022.
