The New England Patriots on Friday on Day 2 of the NFL Draft came away with perhaps a game-breaking running back, an impact wide receiver, and a depth piece on the offensive line.

At least that’s what they are hoping.

The Patriots drafted TreVeyon Henderson in the second round They then took Washington State wide receiver Kyle Williams in the third round with the 69th overall pick. They had one more third round choice to use after a trade and grabbed Georgia offensive lineman Jared Wilson.

“We see all of them with the ability to come in and compete,” Patriots VP of Player Personnel Eliot Wolf said late Friday night. “Certainly, we have some established players at some of these positions, but each player is going to come in and we’ll see what they can do.”

Henderson at 5-10, 202 pounds should be more of an open field runner that will complement Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. Williams, meanwhile, averaged 17.1 yards a reception last year, and could be a deep threat the Patriots have been seeking. After a couple of trades, going down from No.77 to No. 85 (via Carolina) and then getting a fourth rounder for next year from the Chiefs to go down to 95, the Patriots added Wilson, who is a center. They may be looking at him as a backup for veteran starter Garrett Bradbury.

Henderson, Wolf said, “is a threat with the ball in his hands; speed to take it the distance any time he touches it.”

Williams, Wolf said, can be be an inside or outside receiver, despite being undersized and is, well, “fast.” The Patriots have 10 receivers now on the roster.

Wolf noted that Wilson didn’t give up a sack in his only year at center at Georgia. He did also practice at guard, “but I think center is ultimately going to be his best position,” Wolf said.

What’s left? On today’s final day of the 2025 Draft, the Patriots have a fourth round pick (No. 106 overall), three fifth round picks (Nos. 144, 146, 171 overall), and two seventh rounders (Nos. 171, 220).
