Rivier’s Grumblatt GNAC Player of Week for second time

NASHUA — Rivier women’s basketball graduate student Lyric Grumblatt has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a combined 72 points during Rivier’s 1-1 week against GNAC competition, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The Manchester, N.H. native averaged 36.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, she posted another career night by scoring 46 points, the most in a single game in her career, in an 83-64 win over Lasell. She then added 26 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday when the Raiders narrowly fell at JWU (Providence).
Grumblatt and the Raiders return to the court tonight as they travel to Standish, Maine, to take on Saint Joseph’s (Me.). Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Harold Alfond Center.
