DURHAM — Isaac Seide, a senior running back on the University of New Hampshire football team, was named the CAA Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Seide rushed the ball 18 times for a personal-best 161 yards, including a career long of 61, and his 1-yard touchdown at 9:18 of the fourth quarter lifted UNH to a 21-20 victory at College of the Holy Cross on Sept. 7. Seide had four carries of 10+ yards and averaged 8.9 yards per carry in his fourth career start.

His 35-yard run to the HC 2-yard line set up a touchdown that gave the Wildcats a 14-13 lead in the third quarter. On UNH’s five-play touchdown drive in the second quarter, Seide carried the ball four times for 25 yards to set up that score that gave the ‘Cats a 7-3 lead.

Seide eclipsed his previous career high of 127 rushing yards against Dartmouth College on Oct. 15, 2022 and bested his previous career long of 53 yards at Richmond on Oct. 30, 2021.

UNH returns to action Saturday for its home opener against Stonehill College for Youth Sports Day. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
