Annual Nashua City Golf Championship set this weekend
NASHUA — The 64th annual Nashua City Golf Championship is set for this weekend, with rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday’s 18 holes will take place at Nashua Country Club while the final round will be on Sunday at Sky Meadow Country Club.
The tournament has been a local tradition since 1960. Last year’s champion was Kevin Gaynor out of Souhegan Woods, with a two-day, one-under total of 142 (70-72). That was good for a two-shot win over Sky Meadow’s Rick Moreau (144).
The Senior champion was Eric Emeneau.
The most victories in the tourney are by Phil Pleat with eight. Chuck Tryder is the only competitor to win three straight years, while in another interesting note, Cam Lien won in 2018 by making a double eagle on the final hole at Souhegan Woods.
