Rivier’s Grumblatt named GNAC Player of the Week
NASHUA – Lyric Grumblatt was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the third time this season after helping guide the Rivier University women’s basketball team to a 1-1 week in GNAC play.
The senior guard averaged 28.5 points on 52.4% field goal shooting (including 41.2% three-point shooting) while also averaging 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.0 assists, and 0.5 blocks per game.
Grumblatt registered a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a mid-week loss to Lasell before pouring in 34 points with eight rebounds and four steals in a 20-point victory over JWU on Saturday afternoon.
Rivier returns to action today in a 5 p.m. tip-off against GNAC foe Saint Joseph’s (Maine).
