UMass-Boston men’s hoop hands Raiders 81-64 loss
NASHUA — The Rivier University men’s basketball team was downed 81-64 by UMass Boston in non-conference play Wednesday night in the Muldoon Center.
In the first half, the Beacons (3-2) and the Raiders (2-6) were battling back and forth for baskets. Going into the second half Rivier was down by seven points. UMass Boston was able to hold the Raiders to 27 points for the rest of the contest
Xavier Mckenzie led the Beacons with 23 points. Malik Lorquet had a double-double, contributing 18 points and 10 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Bobby Joy had 12 points for the Beacons.
Josef Buford recorded 18 points for the Raiders this evening. Nesta Roberts added 12 points and Goffstown’s Robenson Baguidy put up 10 points for Riv.
Riv will take on Dean College Saturday at 3 p.m.
