NASHUA — Two former Nashua High School South players came up big for the Rivier University men’s soccer team on Sunday in a 2-1 win over Maine Presque Isle Sunday in non-conference action at Joanne Merrill Field.

Former Panthers Ryan Hadouche and Jose Ochoa both scored as the Raiders improved to 6-7-3 overall.

Hadouche got the scoring started just 30 minutes into the first half to give the Raiders a 1-0. Hadouche gathered a good touch pass from Hayden Bilodeau and, within a few steps, was able to beat the Owl keeper to the low right side of the net.

The second half would start with another Riv goal from Ochoa. After the ball bounced off numerous players, he was able to find some space to put the ball in the back of the net.

UMPI (3-10-2) would net one of their own off a perfect cross that just cleared the Raiders defenders and ended up on Reece Carter’s foot. Hayden Bay was responsible for the cross that led to the game’s final goal to get the 2-1 final.

Rivier goalie Sean Seeley got his first collegiate win with a save. Kobe West suffered the loss but made six saves.

The Raiders will back Wednesday for their Senior Night against Lasell University at 7:30 p.m.
