Savage honored for Decathlon

NASHUA – The Nashua Lodge of Elks 720 held a tribute to Al and the late Marion Savage recently at the Nashua High South Fran Tate Track in honor of the 65th Anniversary of the New Hampshire State Decathlon.

The N.H. State Decathlon is the longest continuous state decathlon in the United States. Elks Lifetime Member Savage and Nashua High legendary track coach, Fran Tate founded the event in 1957.

Nashua High track coaches and 14 year decathlon supporters Jason Paling and Siobhan Kemezys offered tributes to Al and Marion Savage for their outstanding support of the NH State Decathlon.
