Rivier women’s volleyball tops Keene for seventh straight

KEENE — The Rivier University women’s volleyball won its seventh match in a row on Tuesday by taking down in-state rival Keene State College 3-1 in non-conference play.
The Raiders’ Sydney Racevicius, Lily Sills, and Ali Rivera led the offense as Riv improved to 18-4 overall by a 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16 count.
Racevicius racked up a match-high 16 kills, with Sills finishing with 12 and Rivera nine. Sofia Pawlusik had a team-high 16 digs, followed by Racevicius, who had 15. Avery Pollard dished out 41 assists this evening.
Keene State ended the match with a .071 hitting percentage with 31 kills and 22 errors. Sydney Johnson tallied the team high for the Owls with eight kills. She was fed by Kacie Blanchet, who finished with 28 assists. Reagan Fleming had a match-high 19 digs.
Rivier women’s volleyball will be back when the Raiders travel to Paxton, Mass. Thursday to face Anna Maria in GNAC competition at 6:30 p.m.
