NASHUA — The Rivier field hockey started Great Northeast Athletic Conference play in superb fashion as they took down Albertus Magnus 6-0 at Joanne Merrill Field.

Rivier(1-1, 1-0 GNAC) dominated, outshooting the visitors (0-2, 0-1 GNAC) by a whopping 23-1 margin.

The first quarter saw the Raiders go up 2-0 after two back-to-back goals. Salem’s Chloe Sicard started it off just 5:48 into the contest. Then, just under one minute later, Madison Streeter tallied the second.

The second quarter was quiet, with just one ball finding the back of the net in the home team’s favor. Londonderry’s Kayla Miles was credited with the third Rivier score.

After a 3-0 halftime lead for the Raiders, they would tack on two more in the third quarter. Jacklyn O’Connor joined in on the action with her first goal, while Streeter would add her second of the day.

With under ten minutes to go, Hailey Morse of Manchester would net the game’s final goal, pushing the Raiders lead to 6-0.

The Raiders will be back in action Sunday at 11 a.m. when they travel to Maine to take on St. Joe’s in another GNAC matchup.
