The Nashua Cal Ripken 11 U All-Stars dream of reaching the Cal Ripken World Series came to an end Thursday.

The locals were beaten 11-1 by West Hartford in the semifinals of the New England Regionals in New Canaan, Conn.

Nashua which finished the runner up to Dover in the New Hampshire state tournament, finished 2-1 in pool play and then knocked off Lowell, Mass.in the quarterfinals.

However, Dover will instead play in the finals on Friday vs. West Hartford at 6 p.m.

Dover beat host New Canaan in the other semifinal 14-8 on Thursday.
