Boys basketball

Several locals were selected to the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Organization (NHBCO) All-State Teams for Divisions I, II, III and IV.

Each team had a First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention.

In Division I boys, the only local First Teamer was Nashua North’s Trevor Labrecque. Merrimack’s Jack Tarleton, Bishop Guertin’s Matt Santosuosso and Alvirne’s Brendan Graham were Second Teamers, while Bishop Guertin’s Javari Ellison and Nashua North’s Jayden Montgomery were Honorable Mentions.

In Divison II, Souhegan’s Johnny McBride was the lone First Teamer, with fellow Saber Matt Canavan an Honorable Mention along with Milford’s Ryon Constable.

Nashua North coach Steve Lane and Souhegan’s Peter Pierce were Division I and II Coaches of the Year, respectively.

In Division III, Campbell’s Dylan Rice was a First Teamer, while Brody Mills, Jackson Noury, and Colten Martel were Honorable Mentions.

There were no locals on the Division IV team.

Hollis Brookline’s Elisabeth Stapelfeld was named the Division II Player of the Year by the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Organization (NHBCO) as they’ve finalized their All-State teams for all four divisions.

Several locals are on the teams, except in Divisions III and Division IV. Campbell was blanked and Wilton-Lyndeborough played a junior varsity season only for the second straight year.

Locally, Brooke Paquette was the only area First Teamer in Division I, with her Guertin teammate, Olivia Murray on the Second Team. There were several Division I Honorable Mentions: Nashua South’s Maize Barker, Merrimack’s Emma Valluzi and Madison McCaffery, and Alvirne’s Paige McKinley.

Stapelfeld was the only Division II First Team local, while her Cavalier teammate, Cheyene Colbert, Souhegan’s Kate Canavan were Honorable Mentions.
