Raiders get second win of year with sweep of Dean College

FRANKLIN, Mass. The Rivier men’s volleyball team took down Dean College in three straight sets, 25-7, 25-13, 25-15, to improve to 2-6 overall, but 2-1 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

The closest Dean got this evening was ten points in the third set.

Rivier was led by Ethan Soltis (Massillon, Ohio), who had eight kills on just three errors. His hitting percentage tonight was a solid .385.

He also contributed more than half of the assists with 12, and to top it off,He added four service aces as well. Neil Rea of Windham topped the team’s assists with 18. Thomas Miller (Clifton Park, N.Y.) had the serve going tonight, finishing with eight aces.

Dean’s offense struggled to get doing as Aaron Fonseca had the team high in kills with two. Tyler Martins was the assist leader with four.

Rivier is back at it tonight at 7 at Endicott.
