WESTON, Mass. — The Rivier men’s basketball team fell 72-59 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action Monday to Regis College on Higgins Court.

The Pride was able to jump out to a large lead in the first half. They build their 22-point lead in the first on the back of Marc Trinidad, who had an impressive 20 points at the break. This was all Regis would need to stay on top until the final buzzer.

Miles Gillette had a solid second half with 12 points scored and finished with a team high 22 points, along with a game high 20 rebounds. The Raiders were able to outplay the Pride in the second beating them 33-26. However, Regis’ first half output virtually sealed the game.

Trinidad would go on to score the game high with 24 points. Russell Rau would finish with a double-double for Regis, scoring 13 points along with 13 rebounds.

Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, Mass.) and Joseph Buford (Charleston, S.C.) would be next with 13 points each.
