MEDFORD, Mass. — It was the Lyric Grumblatt show — again.

The former Manchester Memorial standout continued her hot start to the season with a game-high 33 points as the Rivier University women’s basketball team trounced non-conference opponent Lesley University Tuesday night, 71-43.

Grumblatt earlier in the day was named New England Women’s Basketball Association Player of the Week for her overall play in the last few games.

The Raiders, now 3-2, were firing on all cylinders as Grumblatt also had eight rebounds. In all five games she’s had over 20 points.

But she hasn’t done it alone. Anna Stenger of Weare also had a very productive night from the field for Rivier, finishing with 16 points and seven rebounds.

The 2-5 Lynx had one player score double digits in Kizziah Ruff, who finished the game with 16 points. Alexandra Kerley topped all players on the boards, racking up 15.

The Raiders will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel to take on the Rams of Framingham State at 5:30 PM.
