NASHUA — The Rivier women’s volleyball team evened up against non-conference opponent Keene State Tuesday night at the Muldoon Center, beating them 3-0 after falling to them earlier in the season.

Rivier improved to 17-5 overall

after the 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 sweep. Keene fell to 17-5.

The Raiders came out of the swinging and never let up. They swept Keene by a large margin in all three sets. A large part of Rivier’s success this evening came via the service ace. They racked up 14 aces, with Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) leading the way with six.

The home team’s offense was facilitated through Pollard, who had 30 assists along with three kills and 11 digs. On the attack, Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, Conn.) and Lily Blodget (Dunstable, Mass.) were top finishers. Racevicius finished with a game high 11 kills, with Blodget just one behind her with 10.

Defensively, Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) also finished with a game high in digs with 14 to go with four assists.

For the Owls, Elizabeth Johnson was their top scorer, finishing with five kills and three digs. Kacie Blanchet tallied a team high 18 assists and five digs.

The Raiders will be back in action this Saturday when they take on both Lasell University and Dean College in GNAC matchups. Game one is set for 11 a.m., with game two coming at 3 p.m.
