Kids Sports for Sept. 18-19

The Nashua PAL Force football program had another exciting stretch recently. Both of flags teams played well despite falling short. The 9U team played a fierce pack of Bedford Bulldogs and unfortunately couldn’t overcome the point deficit with a 31-18 loss. The 10U soundly defeated Hudson 33-0 and is undefeated.

Also,the 11U team took home their first win in an exciting 12-6 game against the Hudson Bears. The 12U squad is also undefeated after a strong 34-0 victory against cross town rival, the Nashua Elks. The 13U PAL team fought hard, but came up short against a strong Manchester South team with a 29-6 loss.

NASHUA PAL 10U

The Nashua Pal Force 10U football team had a big win against the Hudson Litchfield Bears at Artillery Field. Amar’e Harrison started the opening of the game with a kick off return for a touchdown which included extra point success.

Luke Graven threw his first two passing touchdowns of the season, one to Amar’e Harrison and the other to Xavier Maldonado. Leo Desfosses and Julian Lopez also hauled in TD receptions.

Nashua’s defense forced multiple turnovers thanks to the play of Desfosses, Lopez, and Harrison.

Big sacks in the game including the first solo sack by defenseman Anthony Girginis.

NASHUA PAL 12U

The PAL Force 12U blanked the cross-town Rival Nashua Elks Crusaders at Stellos Stadium.

Connor Page opened the scoring, taking the opening kickoff to the house to put the Force up to stay. Page added a second score by taking a handoff from QB Dharyus Sisay and scampering 70 yards into the end zone behind key blocks by Shawn Burris, Vincent Valenta and Levi Mitchell.

Later in the quarter, Jordan Toribio took a Crusader punt, cut left and accelerated for 50 yards into the end zone. Adamze Mansaray put a strong block on a Crusader defender to spring Toribio for the score.

Mansaray added a touchdown to close out the scoring in the fourth quarter as well, behind a strong push by linemen, Paul O’Brien, Jayden MacInnis. Josiah Spleen continued his bruising running and got into the end zone with a well-earned rushing touchdown. Spleen’s effort was also noteworthy on defense and special teams.

The PAL defense stayed active all day against a very talented Crusader offense. Defensive Stalwarts were, among others, Nick Acevedo, Logan Wheeler, Sebastian Simoneau, Ashton Carrion, Diones Delacruz, Tayten Metallic, Sisay, Toribio, and Page.

Kayden Geddes added a late interception for the Force which stalled a Crusader drive.

NASHUA PAL 13U

Nashua’s only TD in its loss to Manchester South was a passing play from Dylan Noble to Jack Krulikowski in the end zone in the first quarter.

Some runs were gained by Kobe Perry, Aden Pimentel, Jayden Beaulieu, Jedwin Lluveres, Kobie Andino and Jake Homsy

Key plays for Nashua included an interception by Ryan Butler in the first quarter and an interception by Kobe Perry with 23 seconds left in the second quarter.

Two fumble recoveries were made in the third by Nick Wilkinson and Jayden Beaulieau. Strong key tackles were made by Nick Wilkinson and Ian Leonardi.

Blocking well were Xavier Merisca, Shiekh Ahmed, Ben Spicer, Brady Borromeo, Dominick Coffie, Aivan Garcia, James Nydam, Noah Smith, Nick Jurczak, Alex Sebastian and Aiden Louis.
