Silver Knights game at Norwich suspended in the fourth

By Tom King - Staff Writer | Jun 20, 2021

The Nashua Silver Knights can still ride that momentum of Friday night’s big walk off win.

That’s because their game at the Norwich Sea Unicorns on Saturday night was suspended due to rain in the top of the fourth inning with Norwich leading 2-1.

The game will be picked up at that point in Norwich on Friday, June 25, with a seven-inning game to follow.

Nashua returns to Holman Stadium today to host the Sea Unicorns at 3 p.m., looking to win their second straight. On Saturday, Nashua got its lone run to tie the game at 1 in the top of the second on Pat Casserly’s bases-loaded sacrifice fly.

Norwich struck for single runs in the first and third, taking the league on an RBI double by Andy Martin off Knights starter Jack Beauchesne.
