The Nashua Silver Knights just can’t get going.

They dropped their fourth straight on Wednesday night, 6-1 at the hands of the Norwich Sea Unicorns at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Conn, to fall to 5-12.

Norwich scored an unearned run off Nashua starter Nick Guarino in the first, but the Knights tied it at 1 in the third when Greg Bozzo singled, advanced on a passed ball and scored on a Tyler Gonzalez RBI single.

But that would be it for the scoring for Nashua for the night, as the Knights were outhit 11-4. A passed ball and RBI single put the Sea Unicorns ahead for good in the third, 3-1, and they added a run in the fourth on a solo homer. They would later add two more runs on a sac fly and wild pitch.

Nashua’s other offensive highlight was a two out triple in the ninth by Connor Hujsak, but he was left stranded.

The Silver Knights return to Holman tonight at 6 p.m. to host the Pittsfield Suns for the first time in two years. The Suns sat out last season due to the pandemic.

Speaking of which, the Nashua Health Department will be holding a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic during the game. Gates open at 5 p.m.
