Hudson tops Nashua for 13th win; Amherst also triumphs

The New England Independent Baseball League had a full night of local action, and once again Hudson was able to cruise to its 13th win.

HUDSON 13,

NASHUA CHIEFS 3

Hudson,which trailed 2-0 in the first, is now 13-1-2 after Kyle Boulanger’s three hits, including a grand slam. Ty Baker pitched five innings to get the win on the mound while Jake Dufour and Jacob Hobart had RBI hits.

AMHERST 12,

UPPER VALLEY 6

The Sabers improved to 4-12, banging out 13 hits in a rain-shortened contest in Lebanon. Sean Brennan had the key blow with a bases loaded double in the second.

Brady Mason also had three RBIs while the trio of Bobby Henline, Jimmy Reel and Troy Brennan combined for nine runs scored.

The Sabers wrap up the season on Saturday with a doubleheader at Keene.

WEARE 15,

MERRIMACK 0

(5 innings)

Weare (14-4) got three unearned runs in the first , added four in the second, and two homers capped a four-run third as Merrimack fell to 4-12-1.

The locals visit Salem today at Michele Park at 5:30
