UNH women’s lacrosse earns 23 on America East academic honor roll

BOSTON – Twenty-three members of the University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team have been named to the America East Academic Honor Roll. Eighteen Wildcats earned a spot on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll, while five were named to the Honor Roll.
Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes with a spring semester GPA of 3.50 or higher, while Honor Roll accolades are bestowed to student-athletes who recorded a spring semester GPA between 3.0-3.49.
Freshman Ava Schroeder (Niskayuna, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with a 3.92 GPA, while seniors Amanda Gottlieb (Canton, Conn.) and Rylee Leonard (Coventry, R.I.) each posted a 3.91 GPA.
Junior Tatum Benesh (Horseheads, N.Y.), junior Elizabeth Blanding (Pittsford, N.Y.), sophomore Abby Cranney (Amherst, N.H.), sophomore Emily Curtis (Walpole, Mass.), sophomore Meghan Doyle (Pittsford, N.Y.), sophomore Taylor Dudek (Amherst, N.H.), junior Sabrina Grovom (San Marcos, Calif.), senior Caroline Hernon (Hampton, N.H.), freshman Jessie Hounchell (Manchester, N.H.), junior Gabby Masseur (Nashua, N.H.), junior Julia Neyland (Boxborough, Mass.), sophomore Lily Powell (Marcellus, N.Y.), sophomore Grace Purdy (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), sophomore Adena Rothbard (Newport Beach, Calif.) and senior Michele Smith (Wantagh, N.Y.) also all received Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades.
Being recognized on the Honor Roll were sophomore Riley Burns (Fayetteville, N.Y.), freshman Liv Dunn (Newbury, Mass.), freshman Izzy Holmes (Seattle, Wash.), sophomore Delaney Pratt (Lafayette, Colo.) and freshman Katie Taranto (Brewster, N.Y.).
The Wildcats posted an outstanding 3.61 grade point average as a team for the Spring 2020 semester.
