Rain continues to wreck havoc with the local summer baseball schedule.

The Nashua Defenders of the New Hampshire COVID Baseball League had their game at Exeter postponed on Monday due to the threat of storms in the seacoast area. Merrimack also had the night off.

On Sunday, in the completion of a suspended NHCBL game, Nashua topped the New Hampshire Prospects Red 4-2 to snap a three game losing streak and improve to 3-6. Zach Finkelstein got the win on the mound, while Varun Lingadal earned the save.

Will Brooks had a two-run double in the fourth, while Hayden Shattuck, Dan Trezpacz, Drew Gryniewicz and Isaac Zhang all scored runs for Nashua.

The Defenders next face Seacoast Navy at Rochester’s Keays Field on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
