Merrimack’s defensive woes lead to Seacoast win

Merrimack (3-4) couldn’t overcome defensive lapses to lost its fourth straight.
Blayne Laliberte had a good night on the mound, giving up three runs – zero earned – in six innings.
Noah Sekula had two hits for Merrimack, which is back in action vs. local rival Nashua Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Harvey Woods Field.

The Defenders got hits from Max Mello, Dan Trezpacz, Hayden Shattuck, Trevor Kelly (RBI) and Jake Mitchell (RBI), but dropped to 2-4.
Henri Boudreau took the loss on the mound, giving up six runs but just two earned over 3.1 innings. Isaac Zhang and Varun Lingadal combined in relief to allow just one run on three hits the rest of the way.
