MAY 11, 1966 – “Nashua High’s sparkling golf team continued its climb toward the state crown at hilly-chilly Derryfield Country Club yesterday when it posted a 7-2 win over Manchester West.

“Medalist honors went to Ted Goulet with a 77 card. Dana Levesque fired a 79.”

MAY 11, 1976 – “The Alvirne High track team edged the Hollis club 77-63 yesterday.

“The standouts for the Broncos included St. Pierre, who won the mile and the 880; Larocque, who won the shot put, was second in the discus and third in the havelin; Salo, first in the discus and third in the shot; L. Blair, winner of the high hurdles; and Giles, winner of the 100.

“For Hollis, the standouts were Hall, first in the long and triple jumps; Fimbel, first in the 220; Riendeau, first in the javelin; and Soifert, first in the high jump.”

MAY 11, 1990 – “If you’re looking for Duane Erickson from now until mid-summer, don’t leave a message. He might not have time to get back to you, but you catch him between innings if you’re lucky.

“Erickson will be one busy, as they say, ‘baseball man’ for the next few months. He’s coaching the Nashua Catholic Junior High School team this spring, he has taken his usual place atop the Yankees hierarchy in the Nashua Babe Ruth Baseball League, he’s ready to coach the 14-15 Nashua Babe Ruth All Stars, and he has added the cap of the Senior Babe Ruth Nashua Chiefs to his collection.”

MAY 11, 2019 – “This weekend Josh Goulet will have his business diploma in hand from Plymouth State College. Time to enter the real world, right?

“Not so fast.

“Goulet, after a breakout senior season for the Wildcats, is hoping that maybe, just maybe, he can continue his career at the professional level. While he may be a longshot to be selected late in next month’s Major League Amateur Draft, it’s possible he could hook on with an independent league team. Either way, Goulet is not ready to give up the dream. And why should he, after hitting .410 with 16 doubles, a triple, 13 homers and 47 RBIs in 37 games? He also stole 24 bases, had an on-base percentage of .492 and slugged .806.”
