Silver Knights win second straight, 9-6 over Navigators

The Nashua Silver Knights used a five-run seventh inning to snap a 4-4 tie at North Shore en route to their second straight win, 9-6 over the Navigators in a morning game at Lynn’s Fraser Field before 2,145.
Dylan Jones led the way going 3 for 5 while knocking in five runs, including two with a single in that big seventh. He also had a big three-run triple to put Nashua (2-4) up 4-3 in the sixth before the Navigators (4-2) tied it with a run in the bottom of the inning.
Ben Irvine and Ben Cowles each scored two runs for Nashua, which was outhit 10-5. Kyle Sandstrom and Noah Lucier had the other two hits for the Knights.
Brady McGarry got the win despite giving up two runs in a third of an inning, while Joe Grassett got the save with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Nashua is off today before hosting the Westfield Starfires Friday at 6:45 p.m. at Holman Stadium.
