The Nashua Nighthawks eighth grade boys basketball team won the Merrimack Valley championship March 13 at Tewksbury (Mass.) High School beating Bedford, 62-51. Connor McGowan (18 points), Joshua Tripp (10 points), Eli Youssef (10 points), and Connor Johnston (nine points) led the Nighthawks offensively. Key contributors all season were Alex Egbuonu (not pictured), Bruno Goncalves, Colvin Levesque, Joshua Corriveau, Maxx Lizotte and Sam Woodward. The team was coached by Brian McGowan and Jeremiah Tripp and finished with an overall 16-3 record.

In the four years that the team has played in the Merrimack Valley league, it compiled an overall record of 67-9.
