Kids Sports for Sept. 25-26

The Nashua PAL Force football program had teams playing around the state last week as playoff time is getting closer.

The 9U team fought hard, but came away with a 20-19 loss to Salem. The 10U squad continued to roll over their opponents, crushing Bedford 25-0 to remain undefeated.

The 11U team lost a scrappy game to Manchester South 20-0. Meanwhile, 12U is also dominating all competition and remains undefeated with a 32-8 win over Manchester East. The 13U team soundly defeated Hudson 38-0.

The playoff picture is coming into focus and it appear Nashua PAL Force will have numerous teams participating.

NASHUA PAL 10U

The Nashua PAL Force 10U boys football team really brought the heat to celebrate a big win over the Bedford Bulldogs at Bedford High School.

Nashua set the tone with its first run, and the Force defense was extremely dominant on the field including a touchdown down saving tackle from Amar’e Harrison.

Leo Desfosses and Xavier Maldonado both had two big touchdowns, while Jace Gallego made two outstanding touchdowns chewing up vast yardage. With less than a minute in the game, Daunte Sisay had an interception in the red zone to preserve Nashua’s third shutout of the season.

NASHUA PAL 12U

The PAL Force 12U overcame some early adversity and defeated a motivated and tough Manchester East Cobra Squad at Manchester’s Derryfield Park.

Jordan Toribio opened the scoring, hauling in a beautifully thrown dart from QB Dharyus Sisay and raced 60 yards into the end zone. Connor Page added the extra point to put the visiting Force up 8-0.

Page added three touchdowns on the ground and Toribio added another tally in addition to springing Page with some strong downfield blocking.

Kelvin Sanchez made his debut for the Force and dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball along with Nick Acevedo, Sebastian Simoneau and Shawn Burris.

Sisay managed the offense beautifully against a large Cobra defense, keeping the opposition off balance with some outstanding passes to receiver Adamze Mansaray for large gains.

Paul O’Brien, Logan Wheeler, Jayden McInnis, Trevor Drouin, Burris, Sanchez, Acevedo showed great stamina and discipline in blocking in the heat.

Defensively, Nashua stayed active all day. Diones Delacruz was very active in the Cobra backfield, Josiah Spleen set the tone on defense with two sacks and three tackles for loss.

Tayten Metallic was a shutdown corner, Tyson Hoang made his debut with some hustle defensive plays and Kayden Geddes made several stops and kept the

Cobra runners honest by attempting to strip the ball on several occasions.

Levi Mitchell again contributed on all side of the ball and on special teams with a hard-fought effort. Connor Page ended a late Cobra drive with an impressive interception and a long return inside the Manchester 20.

NASHUA PAL 13U

Nashua this week was enjoying a huge win in Laconia.

The first quarter started off strong with a TD from Kobe Perry halfway through. And shortly after a big play from Jayden Beaulieu with a pick six. Jack Krulikowski getting the extra point for that TD.

Nashua QB Dylan Noble was able to score two more TD’s before the end of the first half.

The first half also saw some good defensive plays, including strong tackles by Aden Pimentel, Noah Smith, Aiden Mullin and Jedwin Lluveres. Key sacks by Ian Leonardi and Nick Wilkinson. There was also solid blocking by Brady Borromeo and Aiden Louis.

The second half the offense was able to get runs from Kobie Andino, Jake Homsy, Xavier Merisca, Alex Sebastian, Nick Jurczak, Jedwin Lluveres, Noah Smith, Ryan Butler, Aivan Garcia, and Shiekh Ahmeed.

Nashua picked up two more touchdowns by Nick Wilkinson and Ben Spicer.

There were other key plays during the second half. Dominic Coffie was able to complete some far passes to Aiden Mullin and James Nydam and Kobie Andino had a fumble recovery.

The PAL cheerleaders were also on hand providing support on the road during the win.
