Kids Sports for July 3-4
NASHUA – The Red Sox won the Babe Ruth city championship thanks to a combined no-hitter with 18 strikeouts. Dean Adams and Grant McCubrey went seven strong innings to no-hit the Angels for a 6-0 championship win.
Adams went four innings, striking out 11, while McCubrey finished the final three innings with seven K’s.
At the plate Adams went 2 for 2 with one RBI and two runs, while Mason Tanner added two hits with Kosay Tonaka also driving in two runs. Others collecting hits were Jayce Martinez, Ryan Arnesen, and Dan Byrne.
Chipping in all season and during the championship game were Brady Dillon, Lucas Dake, Jaxiel Delgado, Mario Ramirez, John Cullerton, Andrew Byrne, Jake Daley, and Jack Razzaboni.
The Red Sox finished the season 12-1-1 overall.
