Nashua World Academy takes basketball championship

By Telegraph Staff - | Feb 24, 2018

The Nashua World Academy boys and girls basketball teams each recently captured their respective Division 3 Tri-County championships.

The boys finished the season at 15-0 while the girls enjoyed a 14-1 season.

To cap off their championship runs, World Academy girls defeated Nashua Catholic, while the boys downed Bow, both at the Epping Middle School.

This marked World Academy’s first championship title in Division 3, coming in their very first year at that level since moving up from Division 4 at the end of last year.

The teams were led by coach Erik Congdon, while the World Academy spirit team is coached by Sarah Bishop.
