New England Edge skate past Acton-Boxborough

By Staff | Dec 11, 2016

The New England Edge dominated as soon as the puck dropped and recently rolled to a 6-0 win Acton-Boxborough at Skate 3 in Tyngsborough, Mass.

The Edge only allowed two shots on goal and featured six different goal scorers in the Valley League game.

The win was the second win in a row for the Edge who have outscored their opponents 14-2 over the last two games.

Jevon Anson (goal, assist) started the scoring for the Edge to give them a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period assisted by Kenzley Goode (goal, two assists).

Christian Miller then made it 2-0 early in the second period assisted by Goode and soon after Goode lit the lamp to make it 3-0 unassisted. Avery Roberge buried a loose puck in front of the net to make it 4-0 to close out the second period scoring assisted by Todd Moore.

The third period continued to be all Edge. Emmett Chretien (goal, assist) made it 5-0, assisted by Lars Plaehn. Kate Oskirko closed out the scoring to make it 6-0, assisted by Anson and Chretien.

Chris Holland was a force up front helping create several scoring chances for the Edge.

Defensively the foursome of Goode, Miller, Andrew Croteau and Edgar McIntosh were immense in only allowing two shots on goal the entire game. In fact, the first shot of the game against the Edge came with 49 seconds left in the second period.

In net, Ethan Robinson and Phineas Norton combined to earn the shutout.
