By Staff | Nov 8, 2015

The Nashua PAL Force Seventh Grade football team avenged its only loss this season with a 33-18 championship win over the Nashua Elks Crusaders at Stellos Stadium.

As a result, the PAL squad advances to the regional quarterfinals in the U13 bracket against Rhode Island at 3 p.m. Sunday at Stellos.

Robbie Long had three rushing touchdowns and threw two more to Xavier Provost. Other offensive standouts included running backs Julian Gonzalez, Jayden Espinal, Neo Helin and Tommy Kelly along with linemen Anthony Carrion, Jacob Sancoucie, Corey OD’ay, Jesse Nijuguna, Joseph Risteen, Aaron Roche and receivers Justin Edwards, Chris Acevedo, and Julian Henry.

The PAL defense played well against a very strong Crusaders offense with a goal line stand that led to the late fourth quarter PAL touchdown that iced the game.

Defensive standouts included linemen Spencer Whiting, Travis Holbrook, Brian Alyward, Max Ackerman and Aiden Bashor. Bashor unfortunately left the game late in the first half with a season-ending shin fracture.

Eddie and Devon Bracetty, along with Drew Fleury and Andrew Curtain also had great games along with other members of the PAL secondary against the Elks effective outside running attack.
