Elks Crusaders Eighth Grade routs NorRock

Eighth Grade team’s defense held strong for the second week in a row in a 33-0 win over the NorRock Vikings.

Cody Cargill, Colby Martel, Ruben De Jesus, Colin Keavey, Joey Buturla, Kalique Jones, Charlie Collins, Braden McDonnell Ryan Rutstein played well in shutting down the Vikings’ running game.

The Crusaders secondary proved just as tough with Zakary Hureau recording his second interception returned for a touchdown in as many games as well as a kick return for a touchdown.

Kyle Salemi also recorded an interception as well.

The offense was solid with touchdown runs of 55 yards from Joey Buturla and 40 yards from Zach Gauthier. Zack Berthiume converted for the extra point on a pass from Ben Levine.

The Eighth Grade Crusaders travel to Keene for their final regular season game Sunday.

PAL Force football

Seventh Graders now 6-0

The PAL Force topped Windham 20-6 to set up a Sunday showdown with fellow unbeaten Nashua Elks Crusaders.

In the Windham win, the visiting Force got TDs from

Julian Gonzalez (50-yard run), Robbie Long, and Jayden Espinal (82-yard TD pass from Long)

Aiden Bashor, Brian Alyward, Max Ackerman, Travis Holbrook, and Anthony Carrion all blocked well as did Corey O’Day, Julian Henry, Jacob Sansoucie, Andrew Curtain, Aaron Roche, Jessie Nijuguna, and Justin Edwards.

Defensively, Nashua kept the Wolverines out of the end zone until late in the game.

Espinal, Ackerman, Eddie Bracetty,Bashor, Xavier Provost, Alyward, Carrion, Andrew Curtin, Justin Edward and Devon Bracetty and all tackled well.

Neo Helin also played well and Long added an interception.

Flag teams victorious

The Nashua PAL Force Flag football teams enjoyed a good week in Manchester as the Yellow Squad rolled 5-1 win while the Blue Squad triumphed 3-1.

Yellow touchdowns were scored by Ian Leonardi, Evan Linscott, and Alex Sebastian. Defensively, Kaden Cruz, Aiden Pimentel and Savannah Preston-Teixeira played well with help from David Bouchard, Alia Brunet, Aaron Desrosiers, Victor Lavoie, Yandel Velazquez and Joseph Moniz.

In the Blue win, there was a solid offensive showing from Tayten Zubhuza and Asisah Bugg. Also playing well for Blue were Deion and Dharyus Sisay, Grant Leonardi, Dylan Warner, Cam’Ron Perez, Paul O’Brien, and Daniel Murray Jr.

PAL Third Graders win over Monadnock

In a tough challenge vs. Monadnock, the PAL defense of Connor Johnston, Brady Borromeo, Jayden Turcotte, Noah Rebelo, and Warren Farley did a remarkable job. Cameron Silva, Christopher Beaudion, and Adrian Cruz tackled well.

Meanwhile, offensively Luke Peters ran well (22 yard gain) with blocking from Logan Briggs Cruz, Patrick Zelanes, and Farley.

Beaudion scored Nashua’s first TD, set up by a play by Ryder Clancy. Jayce Cora was able to make the extra point.

Charlie Dabrowski, Connor Johnston, and Jack Krulikowski led the defense in the second quarter, along with Aivan Garcia. Cruz, Garcia and Kendric Petravic blockd well as Cora scored Nashua’s second touchdown while Luke Peters scored the third (Beaudion with the extra point).

Brady Borromeo, Benjamin Kelly, and Adyn Prowker all blocked well as the game went on.

Also, Ian Gillis, Charlie Darowski, and Briggs had several tackles in the second half. David Bredard’s long kickoff was a second half highlight, along a 58-yard Cora TD.

Next up for Nashua is Manchester East at home.

PAL Fifth Graders 50,
Manchester West 0

Derek Finlay led the way for Nashua with five touchdowns followed by two from Charlie Bellavance and
Amaury Almonte (one).

The Nashua defense was strong with Toby Brown, Lola Cambray, Mirolqui Taverez, Demitriz Sanchez, Ethan Preston-Teixeira and Mekhi Gerrin helping to keep Manchester out of the end zone.

Also contributing were Andrew Wallace, Zach Connerty, Xavier Jalbert, Kayleen O’Day and Adam Noone.

Nashua’s offensive linemen Reagan Brunet, Dario McAnespie, Xavier Francis, Ryan Flynn and Reid Lavoie all blocked well while QBs Patrick Keegan and Jack Peters completed passes. Extra points were from Brady Sullivan and Bryson Borromeo. Sullivan also had an interception..
