The Nashua Babe Ruth 14-year-old All- Star team finished their perfect season on Tuesday at Ledge Street Field, securing the state title with a 5-1 victory over Concord.

Nashua compiled 13 hits and 11 walks in five innings, led by multiple-hit efforts from Tony Gallinaro, Alex George (who added a double), Zach Finkelstein and Tim McMeniman. George led the way with four RBIs, while Hunter Routhier knocked in three. Seth Marcano, Tom Cullerton, Joe Berman, Gallinaro and Finkelstein also had RBI-hits in the victory, and teammate Cam Nixon smacked a double.

Starter Joe Berman limited Concord to three hits (via Brandon Miller and Cam Thompson) in four innings of work. Finkel­stein pitched a hitless fifth inning.

Nashua advanced to the title game fol­lowing an 8-6 victory over Concord on Sunday. A four-run sixth inning proved to be the difference, as Spencer Dozoi, Routh­ier, Finkelstein and Gauthier each had big games at the plate.

Manager Adam Dobrowolski’s team advances to the New England Regionals, where they’ll face off against Westfield, Mass. on Friday.

The Nashua Babe Ruth 15-year-old All- Stars also won the state title on Tuesday, topping Manchester 7-2 at Memorial Field in Concord.

Chris Barrett earned the start for Nash­ua, allowing two hits and six walks in the outing. He also struck out three. His of­fense gave him some early run support, scoring four runs in the second and three in the third.

The team goes to Trumbull, Conn. for the New Englands, which begin Friday.
