The Nashua 14-year-old All-Stars used wins over Concord and Goffstown to reach Tuesday night’s New Hampshire Babe Ruth Championship game at Nashua’s Ledge Street Field. The game was not fin­ished at presstime.

Nashua held off Concord for an 8-6 win Sunday after topping Goffstown 11-7 Sat­urday night.

Trailing 4-0 in the sixth inning, Concord rallied to get within a run, but Nashua bounced right back with clutch hitting from Hunter Routhier (double), Spencer Dozois (RBI single), Zach Finkelstein (two-run double) and Jack Gauthier (RBI single) for an 8-3 lead after six. Concord did push across three more runs in the seventh in­ning, but came up short in the loss.

Against Goffstown, Nashua used the three-armed monster of Jack Gauthier, Ty­ler Retkevicz and Tony Gallinaro to hold its opponent to four hits while walking seven. Nashua’s bats produced 12 hits – two sin­gles each by Gauthier, Alex George and Trevor Kelly, as well as doubles by Finkel­stein and Tony Gallinaro – and 10 walks to push across the 11 runs.
