The Tigers topped the de­fending champion A’s to win the Nashua Babe Ruth Championship recently, despite being blanked 9-0 by the pitching of the Athlet­ics’ Hunter Routher, who tossed a three-hitter, while striking out eight and walking two.

However, in the deciding game, the Tigers prevailed 5-2 behind the 17 strikeout pitching of Bren­den Sullivan and multiple hits from Thomas McLendon (two RBIs), Sullivan (two doubles) and Andrew Frost (two singles and a double).

Sullivan ended up walking three and allowing just two runs on four hits.
