The Merrimack U10 All-Stars won the state Cal Ripken title in a two-game battle against Dover, winning the second game 2-0 be­hind the complete game shutout pitching of Ayden Curren.

After entering the finals unde­feated, Merrimack dropped the first game to Dover but Aidan Ponder homered in the second game. Merrimack is current­ly competing this weekend in the New England Regionals in Bridgeton, Maine.

Players on the team include Ayden Curren, Andrew Coolidge, Evan Roy, Ariana Cray, Joshua Dalton, Noah Kelton, Brady Deli­bac, Kobe Pimental, Grace Lawton, Aidan Ponder, Tyler Atkinson and Dylan Brander. The team’s coach­ing staff is Jonathan Dalton, Mark Roy and manager Tim Curren.
