SOCCER

NSL registration open through Aug. 8

Open to Boys and Girls in Nashua and surrounding towns, the Nashua Youth Soccer League is accepting registrations through Aug. 8. Registrations received by this date will be guaran­teed placement on a team. Registrations received af­ter this date may be wait­listed. DWC Boys, Girls Soccer Camp

The Daniel Webster soccer programs will host the second annual Daniel Webster College Boys and Girls Soccer Day Camp on the college’s campus from Aug. 10-13. Curriculum and drills will be adjusted to meet the needs of the groups.

Campers should bring a ball, shin-pads, cleats, and plenty of water. All par­ticipants will also receive a free t-shirt. The session runs from 4-6 p.m. each day for players ages 6-12. Fees per child are $100.

UNH boys soccer camps

The University of New Hampshire men’s soccer program, along with Soccer Sphere (a year-round soccer training business), will host many camps during the summer of 2015. The first camp is set for July 18 and is the Soccer Sphere Col­lege ID Days open to boys ages 15-18. The single day event begins at 8:50 a.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. The cost is $79.95 for the day. Activities include an athlet­ic facility tour, field player drills and goalkeeper train­ing and an 11-on-11 match. The second camp is the res­idential camp running from July 26-July 30 on the UNH campus and is open to boys ages 9-18. The cost of the camp is $475 for day campers and $595 for residential campers and includes five days of soccer training and instruction, a camp t-shirt, three meals per day and on-campus housing in a UNH dormitory. UNH women’s soccer camps

The University of New Hampshire women’s soccer summer camps on July 13 and July 19 still have spots available. The day camp will run from July 13-16, 9 a.m-noon, on Bremner Field and is open to those enter­ing grades 1-5 in the 2015- 16 academic year. The fee of $150 includes a camp t-shirt and a soccer ball. The overnight camp starts July 19 and concludes July 22 and is open to girls entering grades 6-12. Two options are available as campers can be commuters or stay overnight. Both include a camp T-shirt and ball, a full evening program and three meals daily at the University dining halls.

UMass Lowell soccer camps

The UMass Lowell wom­en’s soccer program will hold two four-day summer camps. There will be two River Hawk Soccer Acad­emy sessions aimed at two differing age groups. The first runs from July 31- Aug. 3 and is open to girls age 13 and older. It will be an intense training camp that will focus on both the technical and tactical sides of the game. Those sign­ing up for the camp will have the choice of attend­ing as either a commuter or residential participant. The registration fee is $495 for residential players and $395 for commuter attendees. The second camp session is open to boys and girls ages of 6-12 and will be a mix of technical stations, small sided games and individual instruction. Campers will also have supervised access to the UMass Lowell swimming pool.

The registration fee is $225 for a full day session and $125 for half day at­tendees. Enrollment, for both camps, is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.

Sports Academy

Cheerleading Camp

NSA Cheerleading Camp will help you prepare for AYF/Pop Warner seasons. Focusing on proper tech­niques, motions, stunting and cheers, this camp for children ages 5-14 runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 15, 16 and 17. The cost to at­tend is $85 per camper, who will receive an NSA Cheer T-shirt and bow to keep. Theme days and crafts will be offered throughout the three-day camp. All skill levels are welcome, as there are no tryouts and no experience is necessary. Required equipement for the camp are socks and sneakers (no flip flops or sandals allowed), athletic shorts, T-shirt (no tanks or spaghetti straps allowed), hair must be pulled up and away from the face and lots of water.

All Sports Adventure Camp

All Sports Adventure Camp at NSA is a sports sampler camp that will al­low the camper to try out various sports throughout the summer. This camp is offered all 10 weeks and will be held indoors and out­doors (weather permitting). Campers will be given the opportunity throughout the summer to try a multitude of sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag foot­ball, kickball, dodgeball and wiffleball.

The camp, which runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday for children ages 7 and up, will cost $150 per week (extended care avail­able for $25 per week in ad­dition to the weekly fee).

Elite Lacrosse Camp

The Elite Lacrosse Camp, which runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday for players ages 7-14, will offer the opportunity to further overall skill level and be­come more confident ath­letes.

Coaches will assist in developing the players’ all-around games, while allow­ing each camper to focus on the position of his/her choice.

The goal is to improve campers lacrosse IQ, strat­egy, techniques and team­work through skills, drills, intra-camp scrimmaging, and chalk-talk sessions.

Instruction will cover catching, throwing, cra­dling, shooting, dodging, checking, defending, at­tacking, goalie skills, pass­ing, face-off and scooping.

Campers should bring la­crosse sticks, helmet, pads, mouth guard, cleats and/or turf shoes and water. Cost of the camp is $225.

C4 Basketball Camp

The C4 Basketball Camp with coach Austin Denton will provide the opportunity for players of various ages and skill levels to receive training in the areas of drib­bling, shooting, footwork, balance and defense for players agaes 8-15. Team­work and communication will consistently be empha­sized throughout the week. There are two sessions, July 13-17 and Aug. 10-14, which run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday at a cost of $170 per session.

Players will be placed on age-appropriate teams throughout the week of camp and will play three to four, 20-minute games per day. Coaches will teach un­selfishness and playing with sportsmanship.

Players should bring bas­ketball shoes (must be car­ried in), water and a basket­ball with your name clearly marked on it.
