Nashua Little League tryouts set for Sunday afternoon
The Greater Nashua Little League is holding tryouts at 3 p.m. Sunday at Play Ball (9 Congress St.) in Nashua.
Registration is currently open for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 as of April 30, 2015. The Minors/Majors season goes from April 1 to June 30, and T-Ball/Farm League from April 18 to June 30.

All players age 10-12 must try out if they are not already on a Majors roster. All players ages 7-9 not already on a Minors roster must also attend a tryout. T-Ball and Farm levels do not need to try out.
Also, a new 13-year-old division for boys and girls age 13 (as of Apr. 30, 2015) for a tournament team has been formed.

Those interested in playing Nashua Cal Ripken baseball this spring can currently register on line at www.nashuacalripken.org.

NSA baseball tryouts
Registration for the U18 baseball team at Nashua Sports Academy (NSA) will be held at the facility at 90 Northwest Blvd., Nashua, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, and Thursday, March 5.
Players who are interested and committed to play, as well as their parents, are welcomed to attend. Sign up sheets will be available.
Nashua Baseball Academy
The Nashua Baseball Academy is currently having group training at the Hollis Training Facility, 265 Proctor Hill Rd.
There is currently group training for ages 12 and under and ages 13 and older. The group meets twice a week for one-and-a-half hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for five weeks and the focus is proper hitting, conditioning and throwing mechanics in a team-like setting.
The session for ages 12 and under is 4-5:30 p.m. and 13 and older is 5:30-7 p.m. They are free for members; the cost is $300 to non-members.

Merrimack registration dates
Merrimack Youth Baseball will be holding in person registration for the spring season on the following dates: Friday, March 6, from 6-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the MYA Building.

NH Knights openings
The New Hampshire Knights have openings on their 13U AAU team. Ages are determined on May 1st 2015. Last year this team finished third overall in the New England Regionals. Openings are for serious players only. Tryouts are by appointment. Contact Coach Loftus at nashuabaseballacademy@comcast.net
NH Grizzlies openings
The New Hampshire Grizzlies U14 baseball team has a few openings left for the 2015 season. This is a full-year program with winter workouts.
Managers are not parents and all practices are at the team’s private indoor facility.

John Roper pitching lessons
The John Roper Pitching School, run by the former Major Leaguer and Nashua Pride hurler, has openings for private and semi-private pitching lessons. Pitching classes include pitchers fielding practice, pick off moves, covering bunts, etc. There is a maximum of 10 students per class.

Nashua League registration
The Nashua Youth Soccer League registration is open until March 23 for boys and girls in Nashua and surrounding towns born between Oct. 1, 1995 and Sept. 30, 2009.
Registrations received by March 23 will be guaranteed placement on a team. Registrations received after that date may be wait listed.
The season is tentatively scheduled to start April 11.

NBUA Training Academy
The Nashua Baseball Umpires Association will hold its annual training program for anyone interested in becoming a certified Cal Ripken Baseball umpire.
The program, which begins on March 8 and runs through April 12 consists of training on in-depth rules, field and plate mechanics. For specific class information including class times, locations and cost, go to www.nashua

MYA wrestling board elections
The Merrimack Youth Association (MYA) Wrestling Program will be having elections for positions on the MYA Wrestling Board on Monday at the MYA Building.
The Program is now accepting names for the following one-year terms: Director, Assistant Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Scheduler,Equipment Manager, and Fundraising Manager. Granite State Raiders tryouts
The Granite State Raiders AAU basketball program will hold registration and tryouts at the Concord Boys & Girls Club on March 21 and 22.
The schedule for each day is as follows: fourth, fifth and sixth grade boys and girls 8-9 a.m.; seventh and eighth grade girls 9-10 a.m.; seventh, eighth and ninth grade boys 10-11 a.m.; ninth, 10th, and 11th grade girls 11-noon; 10th and 11th grade boys noon-1 p.m. Players are encouraged to attend both days.

Junior high league still
accepting new players
The Northeast Junior High Football League (NJHFL) is currently accepting new members for the 2015 season.
The NJHFL offers three distinct levels of football and cheerleading for those athletes in grades two through eight. The league also holds its own cheer competition that is open both to league members and non-members.
The NJHFL has 13 organizations, representing 29 teams from southern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts. Currently, over 900 players and close to 700 cheerleaders participate in the league annually.

Windham Softball Clinic
Assumption College Softball players and coaches will hold a clinic on Saturday, March 14, in the Windham High School gym at 64 London Bridge Rd.
There will be two sessions for players in Grades 4-12. Session I is for fourth through seventh graders from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Session II is for seventh through 12th graders from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
The cost for the clinic is $25 for registrations received on or before Thursday, March 12, and $30 at the door.
Check-in and registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
