Saturday night the 12-year-old Cal Ripken All Stars from Nashua completed the district tournament in Swanzey with an undefeated record by topping Keene, 13-1. They were led by Jack Gauthier, who was 3 for 3 with two homers (four for the tournament) and pitched the first three innings, allowing one hit and striking out four.

Nashua had 11 hits in three innings and drew seven walks. Tony Gallinaro had two hits, Will Brooks reached base in all three at bats with two runs scored, Zach Finkelstein, Chris Haley, Cam Nixon and Andre Laplante added hits. Brenda Auriana, Joe Berman and Tanner Plourde all scored runs.

Gauthier led off the bottom of second with his first of two home runs, followed by a single by Brooks, four walks, a single by Gallinaro and a fielder’s choice by Stephen McLendon, building a 5-0 lead. Gauthier led off the third with his second home run.

Brooks walked, stole second and, with two outs, Nixon singled. Auriana walked before singles by Laplante, Gallinaro, McLendon, Finkelstein, Gauthier and Chris Haley made it 13-0.

Nashua will host the state tournament at Murray Field (in front of Holman Stadium) starting Saturday at 10 a.m.
