The U11 girls Nashua Blast dominated last Sunday morning against the Crush of Keene to secure its first victory of the season. Emily Morneau worked hard to secure the draws right from the beginning whistle. Grace Bellavance received a pass from Kaylie Keegan to start the morning off right.

Bellavance found the back of the cage for the first goal of the game as well as the second after receiving a pass from Kirsten McIntire. Liv Hlebichuk scored her first goal of the season off of a free position shot that the goalie just couldn’t save. The Blast went up 4-0 with a nicely placed shot by Amelia Piercy off a beautiful pass from Lindsay Hult. Bellavance scored her third goal of the game off an assist from

Theresa Ellison who cleared the ball in the defensive end and ran the ball all the way down the field to pass it to Bellavance. Kaylie Keegan scored the final goal in the first half to lift the Blast to a 6-1 lead at halftime. Anyssa Mitchell played a great first half in goal, allowing only one goal and making two saves.

Bailey Morin stepped in from her defensive position and made a couple of key saves to secure the win. Kirsten McIntire had a great left handed goal, followed by an awesome first goal of the season shot by Emily Morneau.

Defensively, Kelsie Leith, Britney Pearson, Taylor Guilfoil and Olivia Howley all scrambled hard all day to come up with key ground balls

to clear the ball out of the defensive end.

The Blast look to even its record in their first home game Sunday at Stellos Stadium at 4:45 against Seacoast.
