Manchester 12, Nashua U11 Blast (McIntire) 9

Kelsie Leith started the Blast’s draw with support from the other offensive players Olivia Howley, Anyssa Mitchell, Emily Morneau, Liv Hlebichuk, and Grace Bellavance. Morneau had the first assist when she passed to the center attack Kirsten McIntire, who didn’t hesitate and took the shot.

McIntire didn’t stop at one goal; Payson Mooso brought the ball from the defensive end with a quick pass and McIntire made the second shot as well. Back-to-back goals just weren’t enough when attack Sarah Signorello found McIntire open in front of the net once again and the team scored their third goal tying the game 3-3.

Blast took the lead when Julia Cote took the fourth goal but Manchesterled 6-4 at the half. Defensive players Lindsay Hult, Theresa Ellison, and Mooso protected goalie Alison Hartshorn, who had two great saves. Ellison had several break away runs down the field to help clear the defensive end.

Manchester continued strong in the second half, but Bellavance didn’t hesitate to make a clean pass to Signorello, who blasted the ball into the net. Center Mooso rushed the ball down the field with a pass to McIntire, and back to Mooso to make the score 9-6.

Starting at the center again, Mooso passed the ball once again to McIntire who shot her fourth goal of the game. Cote had an unassisted goal immediately off an assist by Mooso for her third goal of the game.

Mitchell helped Blast with four saves in the second half.
