Nashua Blast Girls U13 falls

The Nashua Blast Youth Lacrosse League kicked off their spring 2012 season with several games across all age levels. The U13 girls debuted against the ladies in red from Oyster River. Oyster River overcame the Blast by a score of 12-7.

Newly appointed team co-captains Hannah Fortin and Julia Gagnon both had strong games. Fortin led the Blast with five of their seven tallies on the day. Veterans Victoria Gates and Campbell Haller assisted on goals each. Gagnon maintained a strong post at the draw and played a confident offensive game, scoring a goal in the first half.

Emma Pucillo shared the draws with Gagnon during the day and joined Calley Goulet, Molly Caron, Grace Lambert, Alyssa DeCarteret, Julia Kaplan, Liz Harrington, Bridget Deck, Ida Gnanou, Lucci O’Keefe and Gwyn Hartley on the offensive front. Izzy Bolduc, Julia Sullivan, Kateri Coffey, Mikayla Breslin and Jocelyn Theriault powered the Blast’s defensive efforts. Sullivan also had a goal in the second half.

Abbey Rowe was huge for the Blast as their go to goalie notching 17 saves on the day. Rowe really saw the ball well and looks to be a defensive force minding the pipes for U13 this season.
