Cavaliers Pee Wee 1

In Valley League Youth Hockey the Southern New Hampshire Cavaliers are looking strong heading towards the end of the season going into the playoffs.

In their first match up the Cavss faced a tough Wakefield (Mass.) Pee Wee team. The game was tight at the end of the first period with the score tied 1-1. However the Cavs got rolling in the second period, netting three goals, Isaac Rogers had a natural hat trick and Joe Roth netted the Cavs’ final tally to win 4-1. The Cavs defense held strong in the final period, led by Max Porter, Alec MacEachen, Sean Kelly, Nick Gould and goalie Ben Goolsby.

In their second game the Cavs dominated the the Newburyport (Mass.) Pee Wee team. The Cavs’ front lines of Isaac Rogers-Damien Barahona-Austin Ciszek, TJ Vitullo-Max Sears-Nic Miller, Maddy Pitre-Joe Roth combined to produce seven goals, with Rogers netting three and Barahona a pair.

In the final game the Cavs were nearly flawless in their play downing the Salem-Swampscott (Mass.) Pee Wee team 5-1. Led by some impressive penalty killing the Cavs out-hustled the opposing team throughout the game. Rogers netted three goals with, Barahona and Ciszek each adding talley. Cavs goalie Ben Goolsby was on top of his game, stopping a number of close shots.
