In Valley League youth hockey action the Southern NH Cavaliers were looking to avenge two earlier season loses to the New Hampshire East Eagles. Short on players, the Cavs coaching staff worked the team into a trap style game.

The plan paid off mid-way into the first period when TJ Vitullo out-pursued an Eagle defender to the puck deep in the zone. Vitullo made beautiful move beating the Eagle goalie to notch the game’s only goal.

The game became a defensive battle with Cavss goalie Ben Goolsby making some exceptional stops to prevent the Eagles from getting on the score board, while defensemen Alec MacEachen, Sean Kelly and Max Porter smothered the opposing team each time they entered their zone.

Cavs forwards Max Sears, Joe Roth, Nic Miller, Austin Ciszek, Damien Barahona and TJ Vitullo masterfully executed the trap in the neutral zone, preventing the eagles from having any odd man rushes.
