The Nashua Panthers Squirt 1 team pulled off one of the oddest victories in years with a 6-5 win over Watertown, Mass.

With a 4-2 lead late in the game, the Panthers gave up three quick goals to find themselves behind 5-4 with just 42 seconds to go. After pulling the goalie, they tied the game on nifty wrap-around goal by Daniel Woodford. Then as the game’s final seconds ticked off the clock, Dominic Carozza was on a breakaway when one of the Watertown players threw his stick, leading to a penalty shot.

Carozza went bombing toward the net and fired a missile to the low corner to earn the comeback victory with his third goal of the game. Another was added by Anthony DeRosa on a nice end to end rush in the closing seconds of the first period.

Tim Guman played a strong game at defense and substitute goalie Brian Chisholm was solid in net.
