Nighthawks 4th/5th grade girls

The Lady Nighthawks won a low-scoring contest at Tewksbury 21-16. Nashua went scoreless for over six minutes to start the game and was down 5-0. However, a basket by Alayja Linton (nine points) got the scoring started. From there, the Lady Hawks outscored their opponent 19-11 the rest of the game.

Hannah Muchemore had eight points, while Abby Coy and Jordyn Choate pitched in with two apiece.

The Nashua Lady Nighthawks ended the River Valley League regular season with a 46-8 victory at Amesbury. The girls played one of their best games of the season, as every player scored including Bianca Gershgorin (10 points), Abby Coy (10 points), Jordyn Choate (eight points), Aryanna Murray (six points), Alayja Linton (six points), Julianna Martin (four points), Hannah Muchemore (two points), and Kendra Santoro (two points).

The team finished the regular season 11-3.

3rd/4th grade boys

The Nashua Nighthawks 3rd/4th grade team had a successful week, winning all five of its games. The 11-member team played solid defense throughout the games, and racked up 235 points versus the opponent’s 124. Each member of the team scored and contributed to the offense. Players include: Daniel Dockrill with 11 points over the last five games, Curtis Harris with 37 points, River Hart with eight points, Joshua Kane with six points, Nathan Kane with 31 points, Matt Keisling with 17 points, Rhett Medling with two points, Stephen Norris with eight points, Michael Robbins with 52 points, John Sullivan with 41 points, and Josh Taylor with 24 points.

The team, coached by Stephanie Kane and assistant Aaron Lopez, finished the season with a 13-0 record.

4th/5th grade girls

The Lady Nighthawks defeated Windham 30-26 to finish the regular season 9-3. Windham started the game strong and jumped out to a quick lead; however, with about 10 minutes to go in the first half the Lady Hawks began to score around the perimeter. Hannah Muchemore (12 points) and Aryanna Murray, who hit two 3-pointers (seven points), got the offense going. In the second half, Nashua never lost momentum as they went up by as many as 13 points.

Scorers in the game were Alexa Wilkins and Alayja Linton, who each had four points, as well as Bianca Gershgorin with two points and Abby Coy with a key free-throw down the stretch.

6th grade boys

The Nighthawks defeated Tewksbury 52-24. Nashua received a big offensive game from Jake Robbins (16 points and six boards). Also playing well were Matt Wall (eight points), Tyler Downing (seven points and three steals), and Chase Hart (six points and five boards). The team also received points from Jeffrey Reza (four points), Stephen McLendon (four points, five boards), Gabe Perrault (three points), Chris Inzerillo (two points, seven boards), and Andrew Penkala (two points and five boards). Casey McNally also played a strong game and had three boards and one steal.

In one of their best games of the season, the Nighthawks defeated Andover Blue 51-44. Chase Hart led Nashua with 19 points and six rebounds. Also playing well for the Hawks were Nevan Roy (13 points, six boards, one assist) and Andrew Penkala (10 points and seven boards). Additional Hawks scoring came from Gabe Perrault (five points, two boards, one steal and one assist), Matt Wall (two points and one assist), Jeff Reza, and Casey McNally. Chris Inzerillo had a big day on the glass and grabbed eight rebounds. Stephen McLendon was active on defense and caused several turnovers while recording two assists.
