The Nashua North 11-year-old All-Star baseball team continued its run through the state tournament, defeated Dover 11-7 on Sunday night. Tony Gallinaro led the way with three hits and three runs scored, and pitcher James Bolton tossed a complete game, enabling North to advance to the winners’ bracket Tuesday night.

North shut down the highly potent Dover offense in the first inning with no runs.

Not the same for North, as Nashua got three walks, a two-run singles by Bolton and Will Brooks and two-run doubles by Tyler Downing, Connor Erickson and Gallinaro to take a 9-0 lead after one.

Dover came back with three runs in the top of the second, and one in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 9-4. North went up 11-4 in the bottom of the fourth on a walk by Erickson walk, back-to-back hits by Gallinaro and Andre Laplante. Dover came back with one in the fifth and two in the sixth inning to cut the lead, but it wasn’t enough.

Defense again was super for North, as second baseman Matt Wall and shortstop Downing. Also contributing offensively was Patrick Gillis.

North will take on Exeter at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with the winner going to the championship game at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
