NASHUA – Bicentennial School won the Mark Frasier Cup, awarded annually to the boys team champion, and Infant Jesus captured the Deb Frasier Cup, for the girls team champion, at last weekend’s Nashua Police Athletic League/Alec’s Shoe Elementary School Cross Country Championships.

Over 800 youth runners from the city’s 14 public, Catholic and private elementary schools participated in the program, culminating in the 16th annual championship race at Nashua High School North. The day’s races, sponsored by Nashua PAL in partnership with Alec’s Shoe, were run in four flights: two 2 kilometer races for boys and girls in third grade and under, and two 3 kilometer races for boys and girls in fifth grade and under.

Finishing second and third behind Infant Jesus in the Girls’ 3km event were Main Dunstable and Charlotte Avenue.

Sunset Heights and Charlotte Avenue followed city champ Bicentennial in the Boys 3km race.
