Nashua Elks U14 Soccer Shoot champion Jack Barbour of Hollis, who also won the 2010 New Hampshire Elks Soccer Shoot championship in Dover earlier this month, will be traveling to Hampton on Friday, Nov. 5 to compete in the Area 1 Elks Regional Soccer Shoot.

The shootout will be held indoors at a Hampton Sports Complex. Twelve-year-old Barbour is hoping to win his third straight Regional championship, having won the Elks Regional Soccer Shoot championship the past two years as a 10- and 11-year-old competitor.

He set an 11-year high score of 52 at the State Elks Soccer Shoot. New Hampshire’s other five state champions – Jakai Laroche of Rochester, Maggie Casey of Dover, Portsmouth’s Madison Ovadek and Behaylu Barry and Claremont’s Emma Lapsley, Jazmyn Griffin and Mitchell Paquette – will join Barbour in hopes of winning their respective age divisions against the other state Soccer Shoot champions from across New England.

They, along with their parents, will be guests of the Elks for the three-day Regional Soccer Shoot, which will open up Friday night with a welcoming party. Then on Saturday morning, the 2010 Regional Soccer Shoot will kick off at 10 a.m.

A Banquet of Champions will take place Saturday afternoon with a farewell breakfast scheduled for everyone on Sunday morning.

This will conclude the Elks Soccer Shoot program for the 2010 year.
